"Star" (Poem)

I stay still and illuminate

I brighten up the pitch-black night sky

The light I produce is so great

That your eyes will tear and cry

I seem serene and peaceful

But inside, I’m burning like fire

You might expect me to lull

But I will burn you and backfire

They underestimate me

Assume I am small

I’m as big as can be

My majesty will appall

Sometimes, I plummet to the ground

Everyone joins together and points at my failure

But even when I pound

They wish and speak their desires

Then, in the end, I explode.

And from my remains and dust, I regrow.

Through all the hardships I face,

I remain calm and shimmering

Admired by many people
