Fast food with healthy diet

In 1948, Dick and Mac McDonald introduced their Speedee service system featuring 15 cent hamburgers. Their success led to franchises. Meanwhile, Ray Kroc, an exclusive distributor of the Multimixer, a milkshake making machine visited the McDonald brothers in 1954 and became the franchise agent. Then, in 1955 he opened the first McDonald’s. From then, Mcdonald’s continued to grow globally. Today, there are over 36,000 McDonalds in more than 100 countries. McDonald’s is one of the biggest fast-food chains in the world. Fast food is a convenient tasty food, including burgers, fries, and tacos. We normally think of fast food as tasty but unhealthy foods that can lead to many diseases. Even though fast food might not be very healthy, unhealthy food isn’t the only factor leading to unhealthy bodies.

Exercise is an important factor that contributes to unhealthiness. The reason why people become obese is the imbalance in the food consumed and the amount of energy spent on physical activities. “If you overeat junk foods, they are going to make you fat. It's just that it doesn't look like that it's those foods that are making people fat generally. It's something else. It's their broader diet or it's their exercise regimen.", David Just, a study author said. According to an article, the benefits of exercise include controlling weight, reducing heart diseases, and managing blood sugar and insulin levels. Fast food can cause respiratory problems like asthma and shortness of breath. Also, exercise helps you lose weight faster. This evidence clearly shows how exercise is important for health.

Another factor is a healthy diet. Together with Brian Wansink, lab co-director, Just analyzed 5000 adults and found out that healthy people had a balanced diet. Actually, there was no difference in the amount of junk food consumption between obese people and slim people. For example, Don Gorske, a Guinness record holder has been eating 2 Big Macs every day since 1972. Despite his excessive consumption of fast food, he says that his health is great. He loves walking, and he keeps his cholesterol levels down by eating healthy food, too. His case shows us that with a healthy diet, eating fast food is not unhealthy.

Since the birth of McDonalds, the fast food industry has been prospering with its success and more and more franchises are opening worldwide to meet the demand. These days, people can easily and conveniently get fast food. Through common sense and various scientific research, fast food is considered a threat to our health. However, there are many other factors leading to unhealthy bodies such as lack of exercise and an unhealthy diet. Even though too much fast food is harmful, eating it occasionally isn’t dangerous. When eating junk food, always exercise and eat healthily after or else you will have many health problems.
