"Carry on the history, Read the times"
Last year, our family donated some of our great-grandfather's old relics to a museum. My great-grandfather, as I recently discovered, was actually a congressman in the past. He was born in Cheongdo, Korea, in 1919, where the exhibit was held. We collected numerous items, including his diaries, his election poster, photos, and even a letter from the president at the time.
Then, the exhibit was finally open, and we were invited to view the donations we made. On our way to Cheongdo, we rode the train (KTX, high speed train). This was my first time, and it was very exciting and full of incidents. As we got off the train, my mom noticed that her wallet had disappeared! Her wallet included many important items, including credit cards, cash, her driver's license, and even our keys! We started panicking, but we were also in a hurry to the exhibit. So, we gave up on finding the wallet and headed to the museum.
There, we viewed the exhibition, ate snacks, and even talked with the other donors. In fact, most of them were friends of my grandfather and great-grandfather. Overall, this was definitely an eye-opening experience for me. I was able to explore and learn more about people's lives in the past, and more about who my great-grandfather was. It made me feel proud, although I've never met him before. Plus, we found my mom's wallet!
