Serenity 2022

Water color, acrylic

78.5 x 112 cm

After an exhausting day, I glimpsed at a tree in the streets, and a thought came to my mind: “Don’t trees rest?”. Trees stand in the same area for decades, and even centuries. Wouldn’t they be bored and fatigued, too? While conceptualizing ideas, I thought of the word “rest” first. Trees often remind me of tranquility and rest. They provide us with a place to relax and play, fresh air, and comfort. So, I decided to return the generosity I have received from trees by giving them a chance to “rest” through my artwork.
